The Story On Sugaring
Sugaring is the ancient art of hair removal. The sugar paste is all natural, consisting of sugar, lemon juice and water melted to a honey-like texture.
It has been used for centuries, and is becoming a popular alternative to waxing. Many prefer the more gentle way it removes unwanted hair.
Benefits of Sugaring
Sugaring will remove the hair from the root and exfoliate the dead skin cells at the same time, leaving you silky smooth.
The Sugar will not adhere to live skin and is applied lukewarm, making the application safer than wax (which can sometimes cause burning or lifting of the skin). Sugar is also sanitary, because bacteria cannot grow in sugar paste.
Sugaring can be performed on more sensitive skin, including some with conditions like eczema and psoriasis. Because of the natural ingredients used, cleaning up is easy; the sugar dissolves quickly with water.
What Is An Esthetician?
Vitamin C Facials Are Here
The benefits of Vitamin C seem to be limitless. We boost our intake of it during the winter months to boost our immune systems, and we use a splash or two of citrus to brighten up salad dressing and flavor water. But Vitamin C has secured its place as a topical booster for our skin as well.
Linda, our new esthetician, has introduced the Vitamin C facial here at the salon as part of a beauty routine with lasting benefits. Vitamin C’s natural anti-aging and anti-inflammatory properties help to keep your skin toned and firm.
Our Vitamin C Facial combines Vitamin C’s natural benefits, along with an enhanced formula to provide greater efficiency in cellular absorption and collagen protection, while guarding against sun damage and those pesky free radicals.
A monthly Vitamin C facial routine will keep your skin soft and glowing. Your skin is your body’s largest organ, but is so often neglected. Linda can discuss any skin care concerns you have, and put together a long-term plan with your skin care goals in mind.
You deserve to take time out to relax your body and mind, while rejuvenating your skin. Schedule an appointment for a Vitamin C facial, or any of our other treatments, and come in to refresh your skin with professional service.

You may have heard the recent buzz for Moroccan Argan Oil. It adds instant shine to hair without weighing it down, and with prolonged use can reverse the damage you did while playing all summer long on the lake.
Argan oil is produced from the kernels of the argan tree in Morocco. The process involves extracting the kernel from the fruit, and then pressing the nut to reveal pure argan oil. It is used for culinary purposes in addition to use in the hair and cosmetics industry.
We carry Keune’s So Pure Moroccan Argan Oil at the salon. If your hair is feeling a little dull, stop in and see us!
Eyelash Extensions: Fall Trend
Long lashes have always been a beauty secret, especially for celebrities and fashion models. The rest of us have tried lengthening mascara and eyelash strips to enhance our lovely lashes.
But what if you could have extended lashes without triple-coat mascara, or the embarrassing effects of an eyelash strip coming unglued and landing on your cheek after a particularly fun night?
Novalash eyelash extensions are medical grade synthetic lashes bonded to a natural lash. There’s no need for mascara and they look natural…nobody will know but you. Come in once a month, or when you feel like you need a refill. The process takes around 45 minutes and isn’t harmful to your natural lashes.
Eyelash extensions are perfect for that special occasion or just for fun. Call and make an appointment with Linda, Cami or Amy today.
