![]() Sugaring is the ancient art of hair removal. The sugar paste is all natural, consisting of sugar, lemon juice and water melted to a honey-like texture. It has been used for centuries, and is becoming a popular alternative to waxing. Many prefer the more gentle way it removes unwanted hair. Benefits of Sugaring Sugaring will remove the hair from the root and exfoliate the dead skin cells at the same time, leaving you silky smooth. The Sugar will not adhere to live skin and is applied lukewarm, making the application safer than wax (which can sometimes cause burning or lifting of the skin). Sugar is also sanitary, because bacteria cannot grow in sugar paste. Sugaring can be performed on more sensitive skin, including some with conditions like eczema and psoriasis. Because of the natural ingredients used, cleaning up is easy; the sugar dissolves quickly with water. To gain the best results from sugaring, schedule your treatments every four to six weeks depending on how fast your regrowth occurs. In most cases you will experience that your hair returns thinner and finer. After several treatments the hair may become sparse or permanently cease to grow back Before your appointment please do not apply any lotions, oils, deodorant or perfumes. Scheduling during menstrual cycle may cause sensitivity to treatment. Sugar should not be used if taking Accutane, Retin A, Renova, Tazoroc,or Defferin. |
